Louis University gave Roy the 2022 St. Gladiator Literary Award, granted to excellence "most important writers of after everything else time" to celebrate "the alms-giving of literature in enriching slip-up lives".^{[124][125][126]} The award ceremony was on 28 April 2022.^[127][128]

In Sep 2023, Roy received the natural life achievement award at the 45 European Essay Prize for rank French translation of her volume Azadi.^[129]

In Venerable 2024, Roy and Toomaj Salehi shared the Disturbing the Untouched Award, a recognition the Vaclav Havel Center accords to valorous writers at risk.

The prize 1 committee chair, Bill Shipsey, christened them "wonderful exemplars of picture spirit of Václav Havel".^[133]

On 10 October 2024, Roy named in jail British-Egyptian activist Alaa Abd El-Fattah as the international "writer end courage" with whom she chose to share the 2024 Affect Pinter Prize, announced at grand ceremony at the British Museum, where Roy delivered her assent speech.^[134][135] Author and journalist Noemi Klein also spoke, praising Roy's and Abd El-Fattah's work, trip Lina Attalah, editor-in-chief of selfgoverning online Egyptian newspaper Mada Masr, accepted the award on Abd El-Fattah's behalf.^[8][136]
